1. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials. When you use the service, we store your notes, folders, and associated metadata (timestamps, tags, embeddings).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and improve the m-notes service, including generating semantic embeddings for search functionality. We do not sell your data to third parties.

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored in PostgreSQL databases with pgvector extensions. Note content and embeddings are stored securely and are only accessible to you and any AI assistants you explicitly authorize via MCP API keys.

4. MCP Server Access

When you enable the MCP server and generate API keys, authorized AI assistants can read, search, and create notes on your behalf. You control which keys are active and can revoke access at any time from your settings.

5. Third-Party Services

We use OpenAI's embedding API to generate semantic vectors for your notes. Note content is sent to OpenAI for embedding generation only. We use Google and GitHub OAuth for authentication if you choose those sign-in methods.

6. Your Rights

You can export all your notes at any time from Settings. You can delete your account and all associated data by contacting us. You can revoke MCP API keys and OAuth connections at any time.
